Bloom Stories

Letters, guides, and quiet essays.

Writing about pregnancy, memory-keeping, and the letters most parents wish they had written. Published weekly by the team at Bloom. No listicles, no hacks, no pop-up newsletters.

Every post starts from a simple premise: the pregnancy you are living through right now will feel like a blur in a year. The sensory details, the anxieties, the private in-jokes with your partner, the moment you first felt a kick. Most of that fades unless you write it down while it is still yours. These stories exist to give you permission to write, and a gentle prompt when you do not know where to start.

The pieces here are grounded in research on expressive writing (Pennebaker, 1997) and family narrative (Duke, Lazarus and Fivush, 2008), but written in plain language for mothers, fathers, and partners actually in the thick of it. If a single letter in here makes you open your Bloom diary tonight, we have done our job.
